What is the difference between soundproofing and sound absorbing?

Soundproofing

Soundproofing, sound insulation or sound blocking is isolating the sound that escapes a space. The sound within the space is not affected and will be heard as loud as it would in spite of sound proofing.
Soundproofing may even have an amplifying effect on the acoustics of the room by increasing the intensity, echo and reverberation of the sound.

Are you doing a head-office revamp?

Here is how to choose your manufacturer:

Renovating an office space is something all corporate companies budget for regularly. By customising its building’s features often, companies can physically represent its continuous development and evolving style.

Everybody knows that employees are less productive in a dark room without proper ventilation. The windows in a workplace can significantly affect the desired ambiance- so be sure to place enough windows around the building! This allows sunlight to pour in and keep employees fresh and energetic.

How to Properly Maintain Your Aluminium Sliding Doors

Aluminium sliding doors
Maintaining your aluminium sliding doors is an important step after your big purchase – not only to ensure they function properly, as they should, but to ensure they last as long as they should.

Considering that aluminium doors are relatively easy to maintain, there are just a few things you should do to keep them in top notch condition.

·        Use a mild detergent and water:
Stay clear of any harsh chemicals containing chlorine, ketones, hydrocarbons or esters as these may damage the frame’s coating. Instead, use a mild detergent, water and a soft sponge to clean your aluminium sliding door frame.

·        Keep a maintenance record:
Depending on the area in which you live, it may be necessary to clean your doors every month, three months or even once a year. Locations close to coastal areas may need more regular maintenance due to corrosive salty air, as opposed to more secluded areas where pollution is minimal. For guarantee purposes, it may be necessary to keep track of when last proper maintenance was done.

·        Make use of a non-abrasive liquid cream cleaner:
As with any surface, touch stains may occur, in which case you’ll need a stronger cleaning solution to get rid of those marks. The best product to use would be a non-abrasive liquid cream cleaner or paraffin.

·        Lubricate the track:
To ensure your door slides as smoothly as it should, lubricate your track regularly with silicone spray to prolong your system’s life.

·        Vacuum once a month:
As with any door track, debris may accumulate in the hard-to-reach places. The best way to get rid of unwanted debris and dust is by vacuuming the track at least once a month – keeping your system well-maintained, and running smoothly.
